Young School, a Reggio Emilia inspired preschool is accepting applications for a full time qualified Infant/Toddler Teachers (children ages 6 weeks to 2 years) and Pre-K Teachers (children ages 2-4 years). We are seeking experienced, qualified teachers and staff with a proven successful track record working with infants and young children. Those qualified must possess the required credentials, strong communication skills, and the passion for the early education profession.

At Young School, our teachers and staff are fully contributing partners within their classroom community. Our teachers and staff are required to have the highest level of early education standards. All Young School teachers and staff work to create a respectful, nurturing, and comforting environment where children develop lifelong confidence and desire to explore their world while creating a partnership with parents for supporting the child from infancy through their preschool years.

Available Positions

Full Time Position

Will work with children ages 2, 3 or 4 years of age. Organize and participate in short and long range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, write bi-weekly lesson plans, support children’s emotional, social, physical and cognitive development, work directly in implementing the RIE and Reggio Emilia philosophies and curriculum when working and caring for children, maintain the cottage environment, maintain daily communication with parents.

Requirements for Pre-K Teaching Position:

  • must be 19 years of age
  • 45 hours certificate in Child Development
  • 45 hour certificate in Curriculum/Materials and/or
  • 2/4 year degree in ECE with credits in child development.
  • I year experience preferred working with children ages 2-5 required.
  • Must meet all suitability for employment criteria set by MSDE, including criminal background check and medical report

Full-time (40 hours per week/12 months per year) position includes a comprehensive benefit package; Group Health and supplemental health insurance options, paid holidays, vacation accrual, 401k, and Sign on Bonus for designated qualified positions.

Full Time/40 Hours

Requirements:

  • must be 19 years of age
  • 45 hour certificate in Child Development,
  • 45 hour certificate in Curriculum/Materials/ or
  • 45 hour certificate in Infant/Toddler required or 2/4 year degree in ECE with credits in child development ECE curriculum and Infant/Toddler coursework
  • 1 year experience working with children ages 6 weeks through age 2.
  • Must meet all suitability for employment criteria set by MSDE, including criminal background check and medical report

Full-time positions (40 hours per week/12 months per year) include a comprehensive benefit package; Group Health and supplemental health insurance options, paid holidays, vacation accrual, 401k, and Sign on Bonus for designated qualified positions.

Full and Part-time

Participate in short and long range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, support children’s emotional, social, physical and cognitive development, and work directly in implementing the RIE and Reggio philosophies and curriculum when working and caring for children, maintain the cottage environment, maintain daily communication with parents. This position works within a variety of classrooms, filling in for teachers who are on leave, scheduled out or filling for daily lunch breaks.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must meet all suitability for employment criteria set by MSDE, including criminal background check and medical report.
